Hi John.
Thks for the great reply. I am planning to send a letter but thks for reminding me. I have a few kitties lying around and yes I do play with them! It's true, sometimes we do take things personally when we really think that we would fit in well and it's a great position, we get our hopes high only to find out someone else got the job. Well, I shall see soon!

Hi Daniel:
Thks for your input. You may be right even though I was the first at the interview. However, I agree with your concept of UML, I hate it and sometimes people get carried away and waste too much time with it. Some companies just hire people specifically for doing UML and pay them more than developers!

I am in the same situation as you. I find that a contract is the way to go these days. You get paid by the hour and your overtime is paid. As a permanent, sure you are paid your vacation, sure you are paid your sick days and some holidays and some insurance but you are making a much lower salary, AND a lot of people have the stress of a being a contractor yet paid very low and then laid off within 6 months to a year when they don't need you anymore, so why not go for a higher price and great experience, unless I got your definition of a contractor wrong?

Thks. Don't worry, I didn't pig out in front of the Tv at all
The interview went well, but there was a lot of older people who came in after me. Older by 10 years perhaps. There are about 7 people competing for this position, I think I am the youngest and usually oldest = more experience. Plus, I don't have UML, it was a nice to have though. When the recruiter spoke to me after the interview, I told him it went well but then he said I wasn't first for nothing, again he mentioned that. That puzzles me. He also did mention I had a little more java than the rest, but that comes from a recruiter and sometimes they aren't too technical when they read the resumes. The interview went pretty smoothly. They barely asked any questions. I believe that the companies that pay more ask less questions (particularly less stupid questions) than the ones that pay less!
PS You have a very nice cat, mine is a gold persian but he has the same face like your cat

You are right! It was the way she said it on the phone, I wanted to schedule something later seeing I am far from there and she said, "They want to see you first thing in the morning! You are the first one!" Although, my resume was the last one they received, they just sent it today. This is what makes me wonder.

Hello Thomas,
Basically the question is how they communicate with each other. I believe part of it has to do with deployment descriptors? (The settings in there).?
Hello Rich.
Thks for the reply, my question would be in regards to your line:
"performs various tasks before invoking the actual method on the bean. "
What are the various tasks? This is what I am confused about. Thks.
The person who set up an interview for me told me that a few people are attending this interview and that the company wants to see me first at 8 am. She said it in a tone that was very approving. I didn't know what to make of it. Any opinions? Many people seem to have great opinions here on these topics.

Hi Vincent.
I recommend you do look elsewhere before it gets worse, you are probably underpaid as well. It's no fun working with someone like that, you don't need that stress in life.

Can anyone here please tell me what kind of questions to expect in a job interview concerning complex sql statements for Oracle and pl/sql. The interview is very shortly and I am nervous to the word 'complex'.
