Hi, i have a security check on all my jsp files like this:
(i can't use REALM or any component)

It worked fine during one day but now i have this error
----- Root Cause -----"getOutputStream()" has already been called for this response. at org.apache.coyote.tomcat4.CoyoteResponse.getWriter(CoyoteResponse.java:614). "Servlet.service()" for the servlet jsp has generated an exception
And now nobody can log-on!!!
I don't understand what did i wrong???
My God:now, even if i put my old jsp files, it is not workin' any more. Always the same message. What is wrong with the Tomcat Servlet???
Thanks alot for any suggestion

Hi Asher, thankx a lot for answering but i had to change my security because my physical model wasn't good for REALM.
Now, i decided to use a code like this to protect all my jsp
It worked during one day but now i have this error
----- Root Cause -----"getOutputStream()" has already been called for this response. at org.apache.coyote.tomcat4.CoyoteResponse.getWriter(CoyoteResponse.java:614). "Servlet.service()" for the servlet jsp has generated an exception

Thanks alot for any suggestion

Hi,
i get this curious error-message when i try to logg a user : " form login page connection unvalid.
Request synthax unvalid"
And no one can access to my database
I checked my server.xml and web.xml and they look good(i think so). Can you tell me what you think about that: if the loggin is wrong i reach the error_loggin.jsp but if this is ok, Tomcat throws to me an error

Thanky a lot for any suggestion

Hi,
I use Tomcat 4.1.18 with Oracle8
I have some troubles with my Realm management.
I made my physical model in the way realm wants to(3 tables USER/USER-ROLE/ROLE). The problem is that when i edit my web.xml like this:

My security constraints don't work in the right way: When i click on a forbidden page, instead of sending a "forbidden access" message, Tomcat takes the user back to my Login_Password.html. I don't understand why: i don't have any <welcome-files>on this page! Furthermore, even a guy with the right role has to logg again each times he clicks a "back" button which bring him back on the securised page.
I open the session on the jsp where my user is recognized with loggin/password. The session takes his ID as argument.
If someone can tell me what i'm doin' wrong it 'll be helpfull
thanx a lot

Thanks a lot Sampy for answering me. I've checked in API and realize i had a conflict between Writter() and getoutputStreambut i can't modify my code because i use the JspSmartUpload ".class". May be do i use the jspsmart api in a bad way?
Here is my code. If someone who knows JspSmart download sees what i'm doin' wrong it would be very nice and helpful.
Thanx a lot

Hello everybody, i need some help for a very curious error.
I'm using jspsmartUpload components and it was working fine. Unfortunatly, without changing anything to concerned files, i get this message from Tomcat
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: "getOutputStream()" has already been called for this response

I tried to re-install all the components without succes and all of them are .class(can't check code). If someone got the same error or what knows what i'm talking about, any suggestion would be very nice

Hi, im a newbie in java and i've to download some files from Tomcat's folder. But, for security purposes, i've to open the browser directly in a selected folder. Unfortunatly, i didn't succeed with the JspSmartUpload's API. Although the browser opens and th download works great, i dont know which method to use to open my browser in the folder i want(or if i can do this in html). I tried the getCollection method without success and my research didnt have hoped results.
Any suggestion would be grantly appreciatted
Here is my code:
<%@ page language="java" import="com.jspsmart.upload.*" contentType="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" %>
<jsp:useBean id="mySmartUpload" scope="page" class="com.jspsmart.upload.SmartUpload" />
<HTML> <BODY BGCOLOR="white">
<H1>Downloading a doc</H1> <HR>

<%

/****take back the parameter "CourseName" from a html Form****/
String NomEns = request.getParameter("courseName");
String path = "C:\\Tomcat 4.1\\webapps\\MSI\\course\\";
System.out.println("course" +courseName);

/******instanciating the upload******/

mySmartUpload.initialize(pageContext);
mySmartUpload.setTotalMaxFileSize(100000);
mySmartUpload.upload();

/********selected file put in a collection Files and take the name at index (0) *******/

com.jspsmart.upload.File myFile = mySmartUpload.getFiles().getFile(0);
String File_Name = myFile.getFileName();
System.out.println("file" +File_Name);

/****final_path***/
String final_path = path.concat(NomEns).concat("\\").concat("Cours").concat("\\");

/*****call the download method****/

mySmartUpload.downloadFile(final_path);
