I am using the Tomcat on the Linux OS. The system.out.println from the servlets goes into the catalina.out file of the tomcat server. The system.out.println in the applets can be seen with the plugin console.

I want to download a file from the server to clients machine without prompting the 'save as' dialog box. may be in the clients "temp" directory.
