Aren't the benefits much better in Europe, including health insurance and pension plans?

Matt,
I don't agree with you - I don't see how a company could hire somebody and not pay him until his Green Card gets approved (which might not happen, BTW).
I assume that Monoachi is on H1B, so the new employer will have to do a visa transfer and then start a completely new application for the green card. Only 6 monts into Adjustment of Status is a GC application transferable to another company.
And an emergency CG application is not for IT, rather athletes, models - for example before the Soccer World Championship in '94, a French player was sponsored for this type of GC in order to be able to play for US.
Monoachi,
It's a very difficult decision to make. You need to make sure the new employer is going to sponsor you for the GC. There are states where the labor certificate processing takes only a few months. But there is no guarantee, especially now. On the other hand, you current employer might be able to find you a contract when the current one ends.
Good luck!

Ouaknin lionel,
Do you know this for a fact? Did you happen to live in both Europe and US as an immigrant? I very much doubt it...

I'm really happy you got a job!
I still have this idea about relocating to Florida sometime next year, probably, when my contract here ends. Have you noticed any signs of recovery in IT ?

Or you might decide to have the bean in session scope and you can use either forward or include. In this case you need to make sure you don't create another instance of the bean in the jsp page - specify the bean type and not the class.

Have a main folder that contains the users folders and protect it and everything underneath using a security constraint that you specify in the deployment descriptor.

I would store the user's profile in the database, have a bean that retrieves/updates the profile and set it in session scope.

Actually I don't see the name of your bean class anywhere
- assuming com.juniorstyle.style is your package, and style is not the bean name
(I would expect it to be uppercase anyway).
If "style" is the bean name, you need to declare the package as com.juniorstyle and have it in the
WEB-INF/classes/com/juniorstyle.
You can test your bean class by adding a main method to it.

add:
<%@ page import="com.stylejunior.style" %>

You need to import the bean class in a page directive.

Well, sometimes visually checking the code is not 100% proof. I've seen this so many times with my code and others'. That's why when you're stuck you need to play with the code - add some print statements, rewrite the entire piece of code, and so on...

I doubt very much that a consulting company gets only 5% - in fact what they negotiate with the client is the hourly pay, and not their percentage. Actually they pay you! So there is no way the client knows how much you make. You're lucky if they only make 30% of what the client pays.
So, Tom, try to negotiate - explain the guy your situation and that you would actually loose money and you'll see how far you can go. I did this in the past and it worked.
Good luck!

Thanks Tim! That's rather depressing...I was hoping for better news. I thought I'd rather go through a hot summer in Florida than another winter in Minnesota.

Did you try to call request.getParameterNames() to make sure you haven't somehow misspelled the parameter name?
