Thanks for your information. I'm not quite ready to jump ship on my Computer Diploma just yet. I'm willing to hang in there a little longer.
Ya, I have a 2 year diploma for a technical college. And yes, have to do a couple school projects.
I'm willing to put the time and energy into my career and looking for help-desk / support jobs too.
I am ready to jump at a moments notice, I have my suit and shoes ready. And I'm not afraid of a little hard work either. I actually enjoy coding, unlike some friends that I know.
Thanks for you information. I'll just have to hang in a bit longer, and increase my school / knowledge.

Well, I finally got my a$$ back to College 6 months ago to finish my Computer Programmer / Analyst diploma. And have been looking for employment for about the same period of time for a Computer Programmer. But, it seems nobody is looking for new grads, let alone experienced programmers. I'm in Ontario, Canada BTW.
I'm starting to feel the pain of beeing unemployeed. My current plan is to stock up on some certifications. IE. SCJP, SCWCP, maybe a M$ cert, but you get the idea.
I guess what I'm saying, is I'm fustrated! And want to know what happen to the world. And if people know of places or countries that are looking for new grads, want to let me know?
THanks.

Very good. May I ask your total study time from start to taking the exam?

Hello, I have been lurking for a few months and decided to register today.
I order Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027) today, to help me with my SCJP 1.4 cert.
I'm confident about my Java programming skills, as we focused strongly on it in college. But after reading may posts and reviews of the book. It looks like a good study guide to prepare you for the types and format of question asked.
I look forward to reading it and chatting with the community.
