You can never have 2 statements separated by a comma, only by semi-colons.
In declarations, you would never use:
int i=0, int j=0;
you would just use
int i=0,j=0;

'$' can be anywhere in the identifier. same with '_'
So � in �eta is a currency char? I didn't recognize it but it compiled and ran fine.
Getting the certification is just another proof of your skill, especially if you have no prior professional experience. Will it get you a job? Maybe maybe not. It certainly won't hurt your chances. Also, if you are faced up against someone with the same experience and you have the cert, they would most likely take you. That's how I and the consulting company I work for see it in Canada.
