today,I passed the Test 252(IBM Websphere Application Server v6) with 89%.
Again, ranch has been place for all answers and clearing doubts.
Thanks to all ranchers!!
Hi,
I am working for an MNC for the last 1 year. The work involved in-depth knowledge of Websphere and EJBs. My role here is both as WAS administrator and application developer.
Now,I want a job switch.I want to know how much is Websphere experience relevant in the job market and how much salary increase I can expect?
Thanks in advance.

I am trying to invoke a webservice from an stateless session bean using the code snippet below.

but it gives the error as ----

I have generated the stubs using the RAD tool and defined the client type as the java proxy.
Another approach I tried was not using the JNDI to get the service object. instead using the generated class. Here is the code snippet for that :

But this also returned the same error.
The webservice is working perfectly as i tried it with web service explorer from RAD tool.
Please can anybody tell me what am I doing wrong and what is the correct way of invoking webservice from ejb?

hi all,
My project is completely dependent on asynchronous messaging..so MDBs are natural choice.
but project also involves webservices invocation , persistence (entity are strict no-no) and some other business logic.
so i meant was
client=>MDB=>session bean>>persistence,service invocations etc..
so in this case MDB merely picks up the message when it arrives and then call a local session bean with the data from the message.the session bean carries out the business logic.
the alternative is to have the business logic in the onMessage method of MDB.
I am thinking in terms of performance, transations and scalability
i hope i have cleared out my requirements.
experts what's your call..
which is the best lang/technology for distributed computing?
is there an option better than ejbs?
i've seen a lot of posts regd. how painful it is to work with ejbs,on this site. but how well ejbs perform once implemented properly?

cleared scbcd on 29th .it was easier than the mock exam of HFEJB and EJBcertificate.com . missed 1 question each in MDB,EJB-QL and transaction .a big thanx to members of scbcd forum . i learned a lot reading posts on the forum.

well sripati,
the material mentioned wont be enough.
u need to buy atleast one exam guide and luckily there are many available.
plus , lots of practice . u can get a list of simulators from this site.
also (IMHO) SCJP does not mean an assured job.
u need to have some project exp.
