HI
I am using WL6.1 and have implemented formbased authentication. my problem
is that i have a logout button on each page that is supposed to logout the
user and bring back the login page. I tried using session.invalidate()...this somehow seems to be futile ..as the user is not actually logged off and still is able to access the secure pages. whats the common technique used for this?

thanks

Hi

I dont know if anyone faces this problem using proxies.

My application web-context is set as appName. So all requests have
to go as http://domainname.com/someproxyname/appName/login.do

This brings up the login page. However the form element has entry as follows:

<form action="/Login.do" method="POST">
...
</form>

I hope u see the problem...when i submit the page..the request goes to
http://domainname.com/appName/login.do...which is incorrect and i get a file not found error.
So whats the solution to this? how to make the action go to the right place?

thanks

Hi

Is there a way to know whether a portion or whole of a text is selected(highlighted) in
a HTML textbox?
There is a select method that selects the text..is there a method or attribute that says if text is highlighted?

thanks

well just specify a different logger for all apache struts stuff

add something like

log4j.logger.org.apache=WARN
in your log4j config file to suppress log4j debug statements...what this will do is log4j will use this logger for all classed in pkg starting with org.apache

Hi i am using struts with tiles. My form element is in a tile

and is as follows:

<form action="/Login.do" method="POST">

<html:text property="username"/>

..
</form>

This gives error at the server saying the BEAN was not found...i thought it shud be able to use the form's bean.

However if i explicitly specify

<html:text name="loginForm: property="username"/> it is able to find the bean!

the struts action mappingg is as follows:
<action
path="/Login.do"
type="com.anthem.pwdexpire.actions.LoginAction"
name="loginForm"
scope="request"
validate="false">

<forward name="nextview" path=".login.layout"/>
</action>

thanks in advance!

Hi

Struggling with concept of providing value of a javascript file through a definition file to a layout.

For eg: I want the final content in the layout to be as follows:

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript" src="http://www.someotherserver/scriptsfolder/scripts.js"></script>

I want to pass the "src" thru a definition..how do i do that...and what considerations i must give to retreive such
script from a different server?

Also similarly can i include static images located in different server using definitions?

this is real urgent!!!
thanks veru much

Hi

I want to insert static images, htmls as attributes to
tiles definition...is this possible?...or only .jsps can be
inserted?

Also what if my .html resides on another webserver..how would i reference it in tiles?

thanks in advance

Hi

Always struggling to restrict dirct access to .jsps.
I want only *.do to be serviced...and deny access to any JSPs directly.
How to do it???

thanks in advance

I dont see any purpose on the TOI article except that it does make some indians happy. I dont see any purpose of the posting of the link here
except that it makes some westeners unhappy.

Anyway the article does not say that anybody is superior or inferior..it pro
bably reflects some data collected...no body has to take it personally...we are developers...leave propoganda to politicians... ...and please for god sake never again post such controversial messages here...this is so unhealthy...except for one thing....can i get the link to that issue where there was that semi-nude model

thanks so i thought...so according to you..in weblogic
if i initialize log4j in the ejb....then the war classes can also use the
same log4j classes..right?

Hello

If deployed as a .ear...do the web and ejb containers run in the same JVM instance...i ask this because....if a class is loaded by the ejb classloader...is the same class used by the .war too?

thanks
