Still didnt work.
But giving the full jar name worked.

javac -classpath httpcomponents-client-4.0-alpha2/lib/httpcore-4.0-alpha6.jar myProg.java

Hi

I extracted a .zip file to the same folder where my java files reside.
The zip extracted is a folder containing jar files located at
httpcomponents-client-4.0-alpha2\lib

javac currently shows package-not-found errors when I try to import
import org.apache.commons.httpclient.Cookie;
How do I get it to recognize those 4 jars ?

Thanks

Hi

headers returns

headers.get("Set-Cookie"); returns

But lc.getHeaderField("Set-Cookie"); returns

What happened to the rest ? Why is returning just one (the first) cookie ?

Moreover some servers respond by sending two Set-Cookie headers to inidicate 2 cookies (header, value) pairs.

Is there a simpler way to retrieve cookies in JDK 1.6 ?

Thanks

In that case why isnt this working.

Output is

I understand Err is a copy of the reference b, but Im changing the reference's content which should propagate in main().

EDIT : It works.

Hi

Is it possible to create a method to have one parameter pass by reference instead of by value ?

When using PHP + cURL, we can set the file-location of the cookie file to store the cookies.

This way, when the program (or another program) is run again and connects to the same URL, it can get the cookies from cookie.txt.

Is something like this possible via the java.net.* library (JDK 6) ?

Ah..Thanks.

Yes - you're right, I got

I wanted to use byte to save memory since I know the values are going to be from 1-50 or so.

So I got to typecast all literals manually ?

Hi

Why doesnt this method overloading work ?

I was trying to assign default values
(like public static String foo(byte a = 5, byte b = 10))
only to realize tha Java doesnt support default assignments.

I get

JDK 6

Hi

How does one normally make a documentation(user manual) for a Java based desktop-app ? It wouldnt be wise to make it chm as its Windows-only compatible.

I heard theres something called JavaDoc. Is that meant fo this ?

Thanks

Hi

I already have J2RE 1.5 and J2SE SDK 1.5 - update 3 I think. I installed WTK 2.1 and got J2ME code running.

But when installing UIQ SDK 2.1, it showed - even though you have a newer version of JRE, the SDK has not been tested on it so it has to install ver 1.3.1_01 - ok - I let it install which was successful - it got installed in :
C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1

But there already exists C:\Program Files\Java in which jdk1.5.0 and jre1.5.0 folders exist.

So it seems I need to use JRE 1.3.1 for UIQ - but I use JRE 1.5 for WTK.

I would like to know if this is possible ? Is it ok to include both the folder paths in Environment Variables ? Or just one of them ?

Thanks

Long time since original date of post but if it helps for others who face this problem.

I am using J2SE 1.5 and WTK 2.1
It seems there are some issues when compiling with J2SE 1.5

Need to compile as if its in version 1.4 :
compile.bat

I did know till now that Eclipse was a sourceforge project.
Most of the Java IDEs are not opensource.
I understand Eclipse is used for mainly J2EE.
Im learning J2ME only (hardly any J2EE) and need to know if Eclipse can be a replacement for the Toolkit. If not can it get be associated with the J2ME API ? Intellisense etc.
