I wonder I you could post some simple sample code for the FTPClient. I'em having a bit of trouble getting it to connect i keep getting UnknownHostException and have tried my host name as a string URL and as a Inetaddress.
I am guessing you would have got it up and working by now
Thanks in advance

Thanks Hartmut
Am now sorted. I used SOURCE command in the mySQL client and it worked.
Found this out from a FAQ site:
http://www.bitbybit.dk/mysqlfaq/faq.html#ch7_7_0
Check it out
Thanks again for the help
Eric
Thanks Hartmut
Still having problems.
I can't figure out where I have to put the dump. Do I place it in the bin directory ?
I tried a few of the commands and couldn't seem to progress. At the sql prompt what command should I use ?
The batch file is called backup.sql
Thanks for your help in advance
How do I create a new database from a dump?(I have a .sql dump I need to put on my machine)
Not too sure of the best command to do this using mySQL3.2
Thanks in advance
I would like to use the JRun Tag Library for test development on my own PC for programs involving sending emails. Is this possible as I know I have to set up SMTP, imap POP3 values etc?
If I can, what values would I use on my PC, or is there some way to do this?
Thanks in advance
Eric

JSP
I am using a lot of Custom Tags and found the Professional JSP book helpfull. What does this book include over others? Does it include the JRun tag Library? I would have thought it would be substantial as wronx books usually are.

JSP
Thats good enough for me.
I just wondered about environmental space issues if I upgraded to XP with my present Tomcat config. I guess it keeps all setings the same.

Thanks for that Brian.
Should make some light reading
Does anyone have a link for the JSP and Servlet Specs. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Thanks for the links Mike
I understand. You mean any bean used by the servlet in a MVC Pattern. So beans used by the JSP would not be classed as worker/helper beans.
This whole thing is strange as I'ev never come accross a concrete definition definition of a 'worker bean'.

I wonder can anyone give me a definition of a worker bean. Is it a bean used in a specific role? eg JSP>database connection, Servlet>data retrieval
Thanks in advance

Thanks for that Bill.
I get a little confused with definitions.
I wonder, how could we best define a 'worker bean'.
Would it be a bean used by the JSP to do a job eg displaying some info from the db or some connection etc. How would it differ in definition from another bean.
Also, could a bean called from a servlet (in an MVC type system) be defined as a worker bean.
Thanks in advance

JSP
You can use link buttons eg
<TABLE BORDER ="0">
<TR>
<TD>
<FORM METHOD ="link" ACTION ="one.jsp">
<INPUT TYPE ="SUBMIT" VALUE ="PAGE ONE">
</FORM>
</TD>
<TD>
<FORM METHOD ="link" ACTION ="two.jsp">
<INPUT TYPE ="SUBMIT" VALUE ="PAGE TWO">
</FORM>
</TD>
<TD>
<FORM METHOD ="link" ACTION ="three.jsp">
<INPUT TYPE ="SUBMIT" VALUE ="PAGE THREE">
</FORM>
</TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>
or of course you could use radio buttons to do the same thing
Cheers Eric
