There were around 10 drag and drop questions and around 6-7 questions each from Threads and Generics/Collection, around 2-3 on enums , approx 5-6 on fundamentals (classpath, package etc - last chapter of Kathy's book) and 2 questions on Garbage collector. The questions were much simpler than I had though them to be. I spent around 30 hrs preparing for this exam and just used Kathy's book and the mock exam on the CD.

My prime purpose for taking up this test was because it was a prerequisite for SCBCD (which is my main focus area as of now).

Hi all,

I have cleared SCJP 5.0 with 80%. I thank Kathy & Sierra for their wonderful book (the only book I used tp prepare for this exam.

As a next step, I am planning to take SCBCD 5.0 Beta on 30/12.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support.

I managed to book the test on 23rd Dec by calling the prometric.
I called the UK Prometric number as given in Sun's website and they told me that it would be available for registration only from Monday (even through the website).
I am quite confident of clearing the SCJP. In that case, can I book for SCJP in the 1st half of the day and SCBCD in the 2nd half. What I mean to ask is that if I clear SCJP in the 1st half, can I appear for SCBCD in the 2nd half ?
I think the number of questions is 183 and the duration is 240 min - that is what was told to me by the UK prometric centre when I called them.
Is it possible to appear for both SCJP and SCBCD on the same day?
