Are you setting content type in header.

How are you downloading the file, is it direct link to the file or you are writing it to response (through servlet or JSP)?

I just worked with file upload/download without any problems (for different file types, XML, XLS, PDF, CSV and off course HTML)

In our project we used to create separate form beans for different types of forms. Then you can override the validate method and add your logic for custom validations (or simply put them in validate.xml if you only have standard validations)

I belive what recruiter saying is close to actual. Survey data are based on very large dataset and may not be uptodate with market changes.

Following works for me:

Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime(); Process p = rt.exec("C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/IEXPLORE.EXE"); System.out.println("P:"+p); p.waitFor(); System.out.println("P Now:"+p);

This piece of code is what I have saved for a while ( I needed it for something). You can get the process id in return. Please check documentation what p.waitfor() does ( I don't recall it now)
