Stephanie,
Thanks very much for replying. I have "medium safety" checked on the java. Applets that I used to run, for example, streaming quotes on the site where I trade stocks, no longer work, and they did work before I did the downloads of JRE, JDK, so I have messed up something.... . I have installed those on my D drive and have made no changes to my path or classpath. Is that part of my problem?
Thanks again.

Actually, I'm trying to better explain the problem, I'm running IE and it seems to not run applets. I installed JRE 1.3 with the Java plugin, but whatever I try, I can't get applets to run, webpages with an applet show an image placeholder where the applet should be, but the applet doesn't load. When I use TextPad, the same applets run fine. This also means I can no longer play the Round-UP Game...and I LOVE it.
Anybody have an idea how to solve this?
Thanks.

Hi,
All Java applets are "indivisible", unless I view them through an editor, testpad. Does anyone have any idea what I've done to mess that up? That means that I can't view streaming quotes or anything like that.
I'm new at this, guess that is obvious.
Thanks!
