Hi,

I'm have a a bunch of pages which I navigate via logging into login page. I'm maintaining a session between those page. On the last page I submit the data. I want to clear the cache i.e after submitting the page I don't want to see the entered data in the pages while I press 'Back' button of the browser.

how can it is possible?
For single submit page it is working. How it is possible where the session management is involved?

HQL
Hi,

How should I write an HQL which says that 'A' class is not instance of 'B' class?
Thanks Guys...
This will certainly help me.

Hi All,

Please can anyone tell me, if someone ask me to explain the project architecture, what all has to be explained in it about the project.

I don't know whether it is correct forum to ask the question.

I had tried the either way also as you do. But then also the error.jsp page is not getting displayed.

How can we handle exception in JSP?

Here is one of the senario..

I have one 'test.jsp'. In that jsp I'm including another jsp('header.jsp') using <% include file ="" %>. In test.jsp ... there is a code for forwording the error to error.jsp i.e <%@ page errorPage="error.jsp"%>.

Now I'm forcefully throwing the exception in 'header'jsp. I want that a custom error messge should be displayed to the user via that error.jsp, instead of that I'm getting a stack trace on that header.jsp

Direct me how to display the custom message via error.jsp

Hi All,

What does 'PROVIDER_URL'? Is it necessary to add this piece of information in getConnection() method? Currently I'm using Weblogic 8.1 server.
How can I make this information as generic i.e. it can be used any knd of container.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the support. I figured out the problem.

Actually, after setting all those enviornment variables I did had to start my IDE again, which I was not doing it earlier.

Hi,

It's not like that 'marker interface' does nothing? If you dig inside this 'Serializable' interface, you will come to know how does this work. There are 'writeObject' and 'readObject' kind of methods hidden behind the scene.

Hi Guys,

Regarding duplicate of code... In HF second chapter, it is mentioned that 'you have to move until the end of the book'. And in the end of book a chapter named 'Design Patterns' is there, which help in reducing the code duplication. Some of the design patterns mentioned there are Business Delegate pattern, Service Locator pattern, Transfer Object, Front Controller pattern.

Please go through those patterns to reduce the duplicacy of code

Thanks Daniel,

One more thing I would like to know ... suppose I'm having following code ..

<%! int counter = 0; %>
<%= ++counter %>

Whenever I hit for new request ... the 'counter' get incremented. Shall we assume that all instance variable are 'static'.

JSP
Hi Guys,

I'm try'n to understand the JSP.

If I have a instance variable in my JSP page. Do I have to implement the synchronization block on that variable or not?

I had also read in one of the reference that instance variable should not be used in JSP. To use declaration in JSP, create non-changing variable. What does non-changing variable means and how can we create it?
