Hi,
Can anyone throw light on why weblogic.policy is used for during starting the webLogic Server....
I know it is related to Java security Manager but want to know if it anyways related with java.policy and security configurations.
Thanks

Robert,
I suppose if you are using the Server side sessions in which case , you can use the solution as specified by Smith.
If you are using cookies based session - cookie.setMaxAge can be used to manipulate the cookie's (session) Age.

I think webLogic Provides Persistent Session Managment System using (JDBC) for Storing Sessions to table.
They also specify in the WebLogic documentation about the Load Balancing / Clustering Session Management.

Hi,
Is there a possibility that we can intercept all the HTTP Requests on to the WebLogic server , check for a particular logic and if valid forward back to the HTTP Request requested.
Flow:
(Internet / Intranet )HTTP Request (xxx.jsp) --> WebLogic Server --> Intercept (using Servlet or JSP) --> Validate for certain Logic --> If Valid --> Serve the HTTP Request (xxx.jsp)
Thanks

Hi,
Is a thread invoked in a JSP life span is until the JSP Page is active or does it become independent of JSP after invocation.

Hey Mark,
From what i experienced, I have a Master's in Computer Science and couple of years of experience so may my two cents might give you an idea....
When i tried to look for jobs nobody gave any extra importance to Master's , everybody was looking for number of years of experience (FYI : doesn't matter what you do in the job... ).
Since you gained experience already i would suggest to continue working
and at the same time look for better Oppurtunities which i guess Tim Specified too. Do study at your own and try implementing them at work even if they donot really require you to do so....

Hi,
Can anybody help me on this...
Can we use JXTA - P2P for maintaining session synchronization among multiple independent applications which participate in Single Sign On.
My Idea was to come up with JXTA Peer programs that will lie on each and every participating server and keep advertizing the current sessions.
All participating servers will update sessions accordingly.....
Any other Ideas or any pointers to towards the solution is greatly appreciated.....

Write a Java class and call the "Runtime.Exec" Command which will take the executable file and the command line parameters that need to be sent to the file.
Refer to J2SE Runtime Class for more information on how to call a cmd line executable and to pass parameters to it.

Hi,
We Have a Peoplesoft App (lets Say App1) running on WebLogic Server and a Hyperion App (Lets Say App2) running on a different WebLogic Server. Both the systems have their own Sessions and are Managed internally and independently.
The Issuse is , we are trying to create a Single Sign On Application between these two systems. We could come up with some customized code for passing the login credentials from App1 to App2's login Jsp but are not sure how to synchronize the sessions between these two systems. (If App1 Logs off we should log off App2 but NOT vice versa.)
The restriction is we cannot change any of the mostly delivered jsp pages in both the applications, so we should come up with some global session synch mechanism.
Is there anybody who can give pointers towards the solution.... Any help greatly appreciated....
