Dear friends,
This was my best valentine day of my life. I cleared SCJP with 86%. I have around 1.5 years of Software Development experience & am currently working on EJB. I have practised extensively.

I made 3 silly mistakes which i will never forget.
This is the break up I got.
I scored 100% in operators, garbage collection, flow control and exception handling,Overloading,Overridding,Runtime type , in java.io
85% in Threads (7-8 questions), 88% in Lang fundas-- 50% in awt, util and lang.(That was really silly, but the question were quite tricky!!)
Following are some of the after thoughts I have which I hope will help you all who wants to CRACK the SCJP.
>> I dont believe in coming back to answer latter. I gave each question enough time to get them right. I had marked the questions (but answered them) which I found to be worth giving a second look. So I was only left with 10 minutes after I reached 59th question. That I utilised to review my marked questions. So decide hopw your are
going to answer.
> Keep a target of 55/59 questions ie higher than 90%.
> The new exam is not that Tough. But they ask tricky questions.
> In multiple choice questions read each option carefully as you will find most of the options quite correct.
> Prepare well for fill in the blank type of question. I got one wrong, which was not a logical error. The answer was correct but ...
> Dont overlook the lang, util packages.(If you want to score 90++)
> Practise as much coding as you can. Dont just read.
> I have made notes which I am editing. I used Simon Roberts, Jaworski initially but towards the end just read Khalid (An excellent book but goes too deep).Downloaded many tests, Java Ranch was great, I downloaded many tutorials and notes made by other fello SCJP's (BUT frankly never got time to go through them).
> Don't practise test exams on the previous day of your exam.
> I had got around 5 question on inner classes.
> Note that many question were mixed up ie threads with inner classes etc.

Will get back to you again!!!Have a happy Valentines.

Thanks Ajith & kathy for your help. Does it affect to use session beans to access database or using entity beans directly?

Friends,
Using session beans to interact with databases, or using Entity beans . Which is the better choice. Does the Entity bean really result in performance problems .
