Hi,
Where did you take the sample test? Can you write it for any number of times or is it a 1 time test? Can you please take time to give me the list of books you prepared from?
Thanks,
Phani

Hi,
Today I passed SCWCD with 84%. As ususal my first thanks to all you guys who helped me when I am in doubt. SCWCD Study Kit book is good, but it could have been better. If I have read Servlet+JSP specifications, I would have made a good score like my SCBCD exam where I scored 94% and EJB spec helped me well for that. Also I prepared for only 2 to 3 weeks while doing my fulltime job.
My suggestion is to read Servlet+JSP specifications if you care for score. Not only because it is the official/primary reference for the exam, but Sun made those specifications very easy to read and understand.
Thanks,
Phani

Hi Ramon,
Unlike other certifications, OOAD needs to apply your knowledge on case studies. Also it is not like reading something and puting it there directly. It is not straight forward. Since you have felt what the exam is like, I am sure you will make it next time. Along with 2 prescribed books, try WhizLab software. Whizlab software will give good number of practice questions , that will help you to align your thinking in the way exam expects.
Thanks,
Phani
A really appreciate you guys for advicing me all the way !!!
Thanks,
Phani
Thanks Nart. Your score is very impressive, you might have prepared really hard to get such a score. I have a few followup questions.
From you reply it looks like there shouldnt be much I will lose by doing SCWCD 1.3 in 1 month timeframe , bcos 1.4 is not yet released. Actually I am in a kind of rush. That's why I did SCBCD just now hoping that SCWCD 1.4 will be available by the time I complete SCBCD. But since I am running out of time (related to my job), I think I will do SCWCD 1.3 in a month. what do you suggest me regarding my urgency?
I have 'SCWCD Exam Study Kit' with me. There is only 1 editions of this I think and 2nd version is not yet released I think. Can I go ahead by preparing this book? Do I have to read anything else like JSP & Servlet specification from Sun? Please advice me.
Thanks again.

Hi,
I am confused on the version of the test to take. Please dont mind my number of questions. When I am putting a lot of time and effort, I want to do it correctly. So please help me with your knowledge.
Is SCWCD 1.3 still available? For how long is it expected to stay (a rough estimation)? Is it outdated? I dont want to do an outdated certification. What's the official/unofficially official book that I should prepare for this?
Is SCWCD 1.4 actual exam (not beta) ready from prometric? Since when is it available in the market. What book should I prepare for that?
Thanks in advance,
Phani
Hi,
Today I passed SCBCD with 94% score. First of all thanks to all you guys who came to my rescue when I dont to where to go to clarify my doubts. Thanks to Kathy & Bert for their wonderfull book HFEJB.
HFEJB is a great book to do SCBCD. Also EJB specification helped me alot to clarify my many doubts. Not only it is a official reference, but it is very easy to read and understand, unlike many specifications.
EJB-QL is where I lost the score. Practice the query statements well before going to exam.
Thanks,
Phani
