Hi

I have servlets/jsp my web application, ( in a EAR ). I have now configured https in Jboss, now i see that i can access the same JSP/Servlets thru https ( i.e. http://localhost:8080/login.jsp can now be accessed by url https://localhost:8443/login.jsp )

so does this mean all my communications are secure as long as i use https instead of http, or disable http and i dont need to do any changes to my code ( servlets/jsp) .

please let me know ( sorry i am new to security )

thanks

Hi All

I recently used Easy mock, which is a Open Source Mock Object. In the example i noticed that they had this import statement, to import Easy Mock

import static org.easymock.EasyMock.*;

I now know that if i import it as static then i can used the methods in the classes in the package directly, i would like to know, if it is a new feature with JDK 1.5, becasue it did not work with Jdk 1.4.2, and it complained about this import statement. If anyone can pass on the link where i can read more about this feature, it would be very helpful.

Hi

Can anyone please let me know what is the use of making a Constructor Protected. I know that if we make a Constructor private you can't instanciate that class. But if i make it Public or Protected i can still instanciate it. So what is the difference between maing a Constructor Protected instead of Public

thanks for your help in advance

The filesystem where my source is located looks like this.

C:\tradingsystem\tds\accountmgmt\main\com\tds\accountmgmt\dblayer\test.java

The code in test.java looks like below.

package com.tds.accountmgmt.dblayer;

public class test
{
.... code here

}

When i create a project in Eclipse, i am creating a from existing source, and the path is C:\tradingsystem\tds.

When i create the project and at the build time i am getting the follwoing error...

The declared package "com.tds.accountmgmt.dblayer" dose not match with the expected package.

When i complie the same test.java, it compiles (I have the folowing path in my Classpath-

C:\tradingsystem\tds\accountmgmt\main )

Can any one please let me know why Eclipse giving this error

Hi All

I have a situation, i am trying to create a JAR, with class files and XML files in it, which my other modules will be using (These are Junit test classes which will be using this). I have the classpath set in my ANT target, so i am able to access the class files, but it fails to read the XML file, i was of the impression we can have any file in the JAR file, can any one please share their experience in this regard.

Thanks in advance

Hi Ranchers,

I was just curious about the naming convention that is followed for the features that we set for the SAX parser, the name of the features normally starts with "http://" like for example http://xml.org/sax/features/validation. Is there any reason why http:// is included in the name of a feature, we could be fine with xml.org/sax/features/validation if all that matters is uniqueness of the URI. Please clarify at your leisure.

Thanks
Hari
Thanks Tim, i agree with you .. there are a lot of j2ee jobs out there, thats the reason i was thinking about my options. I am training myself in j2ee, but it is hard to move, unless you are fortunate to get a project where you get hands-on. But thanks for the information.
