How is the JBoss portal product different from other solutions (Plumtree, weblogic, etc) other than the obvious cost issue?

The exam was (and possibly still is) based on J2EE 1.3 but would be moving to 1.4 soon (this was in December of 2002). What version is the exam currently based on?

Also, is the exam continually updated or updated overy so often?

Seems like an important thing to know but haven't found a succinct answer yet.

Has anyone used Mac OS X's Project Builder for Java developement? I know it has built in CVS and a few other nice features. It was initially built for Objective-C but I've heard the newest version has robust Java support.

It uses a multi-window paradigm which I find more useful when developing with sql query windows, web brosers, etc. all at the same time.

Seems like anything other than eclipse or something based on eclipse is a novelty nowadays! Whatever happened to NetBeans?

What is the best tool to use for developing WS's? I use Eclipse for primary development and Xdoclet but was wondering if there was something more automated.

How did you get the datasource in your servlet? through jndi?? I get name not bound.
