My implementation includes
RMI server as data server which binds the Data class which in turn fetches the records from the datafile
RMI Remote interface as data client or we can write a separate data client which uses remote interface to establish RMI network.
GUI uses remote interface/data client class for network comm.
Give your opinion on the above architecture.

Hi Matt,
I am sending my resume for your consideration. I am Sun Certified Programmer on Java2 Platform and I have training experience also. I am presently available in Boston.

Hi Ramesh & Mike,
I have also got similar assignment but I don't think any data conversion tool is required. The data is already in binary format and we have all the methods to access and modify it in Data class.
Congratulations! Enjoy success.
Thanks Jerry and Paul!
Using Adapter class is a great idea. I will follow that.

Thanks Paul,
But, why double work. Even if you are working with single VM the RMI network will support that.

Hi,
Can somebody explain the following paragraph from the FBN assignment!
"The user interface should connect to the database using either a local or a network based connection according to user choice."
I am using RMI for network communication.
