We have an application where we provide the option of choosing english, spanish or french. we set the language and locale accordingly. If we select spanish we are also seeing some elements of the screen- like buttons , labels showing values in french. It seems to be mixing up language translations while displaying the screen. This does not happen immediately but after a period of time. Has anyone every had this experience. I appreciate your suggestions.

We have a JSF application using groovy and grails with Primefaces and spring and hibernate backend. We also use jquery javascript library.We are running into a firefox script timeout error after using a particular screen more than 15-20 time doing crud operations. We are using a lazydatamodel for displaying the list. The dom object size seems to increase on every operation where we do a crud operation and come back to the list.
I have done some simple profiling of the code and feel the problem is somewhere in the ui layer.

The dom.max_script_run_time is 20 seconds in Firefox browser configuration.

i have been trying to mess with the settings but did not see any difference.

I have also refactored the code to send a simpler object when we display the list of results. Previously we were sending a huge domain object. But this is not helping in preventing the timeout.

Can you please suggest approaches for fixing the problem?
I appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you

I am a senior programmer working in java for the past 6 yrs. I have only

worked in USA. I intend to go back to India in the near future( next 1-2 yr). I have

cleared scjp, scbcd, scwcd. I cleared old scea part 1 and fell short of part 2

by a few points. I have a Btech and MS in computer science. I am working in a product developement company which

develops erp software.I work in spring and hibernate.I have previously worked

in Flex. I would like to apply for the positions of architect/team lead/ technical manager when

i go back.

How are the general interviews in java for a senior positions.
Is US experience considered valid?
As far as my experience goes the interviews in US are mostly conceptual.Is it

similar in India ? Do they expect you to know the syntax of everything you have

worked on?

I have had an interview with a top 5 service firm once for a contracting

position. Even though i was applying for a senior position and had written in

my resume that i cleared scjp that guy was asking me basic syntax questions .

Is this common?. I intend to write scea 5 again and clear it. I would

appreciate if people working in india can give their inputs.I appreciate your suggestions

Hi,
Is it a good practice to use reflection extensively. Are there any potential issues/pitfalls in using Reflection. Has it got better in newer versions of jdk 1.5 or 1.6 compared to older versions of jdk.

hi,
There is age limit for OC . I think it is 29. The maximum number of tries is 3 .The norms are different if you belong to SC or ST . It is a good option, lots of power and influence .

He owns a small stake of 8 - 8.5 % which is now down to 3% . If he had wished to own it and control its direction he should have retained a stake of 70-85 % like azim premji does in wipro. The suggestion that he did nothing wrong defies logic .

I am trying to write a unit test for a spring application .

public class ProductTest extends AbstractDependencyInjectionSpringContextTests {

private ProductDao productDao;

public void setProductDao(ProductDao productDao) {
this.productDao = productDao;
}

protected String[] getConfigLocations() {

return new String[] { "classpath*:/WebContent/WEB-INF/xyz-servlet.xml" };
}

public void testProduct() throws Exception{

List list = null;
ProductManager productManager = new ProductManagerImpl();

list = productManager.getRelatedProductsByPartnumberUsingDao("test1",CommandConstants.CONSTANTS_MAX_RESULTS_TO_RETURN.intValue());
assertNotNull("not null",list);

}

xxx-servlet.xml

<bean id="productListController" class="com.svg.xyz.controllers.ProductListController">
<property name="productManager">
<ref bean="productManager"></ref>
</property>
<property name="maxResultsToReturn"><value>10000</value></property>
</bean>

<bean id="productManager" class="com.svg.xyz.managers.ProductManagerImpl">
<property name="productDao"><ref bean="productDao"></ref>
</property>
</bean>

<!-- DAOS -->
<bean id="productDao" class="com.svg.xyz.dao.ProductDaoImpl">
<property name="JDBCHelper"><ref bean="jdbcHelper"></ref>
</property>
</bean>

<bean id="jdbcHelper" class="com.svg.xyz.utils.JDBCHelper">
<property name="dataSource">
<ref bean="dataSource"></ref>
</property>
</bean>

<bean id="dataSource" class="org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource" destroy-method="close">
<property name="driverClassName" value="com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver"/>
<property name="url" value="jdbc b2:xyz"/>
<property name="username" value="wcsadmin"/>
<property name="password" value="wcsadmin"/>
<property name="maxActive" value="30"/>
<property name="maxIdle" value="10"/>
<property name="maxWait" value="1000"/>
<property name="defaultAutoCommit" value="true"/>
<property name="removeAbandoned" value="true"/>
<property name="removeAbandonedTimeout" value="60"/>
<property name="logAbandoned" value="true"/>
</bean>

I am getting the following error

org.springframework.beans.factory.UnsatisfiedDependencyException: Error creating bean with name 'com.svg.xyz.unittest.ProductTest': Unsatisfied dependency expressed through bean property 'productDao': Set this property value or disable dependency checking for this bean.

hi,
I am new to Spring. I was trying to implement a spring unit test extending
AbstractDependencyInjectionSpringContextTests. I have a bean which i wanted to inject and have a private instance and a setter in the class. Now the bean has an instance variable which is another bean which in turn refers to another bean. Do i have to inject all the beans by having a private variable and setter . Is there a better way . I appreciate your response.

hi,
You are working on EAI tool which is very good. Typically you would earn twice of what a very good java or .net people earn if you work in EAI . EAI is also a vast and more interesting subject . You have a possibility of eventually becoming an EAI architect after a few years. what you are doing is very good .

hi,
I have code which has the following structure. I am getting a set of rows using the first statement and then executing the individual statements which may be a bunch of inserts, creates or deletes or drops .
I want to commit if everything works or rollback the entire thing if there is an individual error during the execution of one of the statements.
The problem i am facing is when i have a group of inserts and a drop or create , if there is an error create or drop the inserts prior to it are commiting even though setAutoCommit(false) is set but it works fine if all of the statemnts are inserts . I appreciate your valuable suggestions. I am using oracle 9i.

try
{
conn.setAutoCommit(false);
resultset rs = ...;

while(rs.next())
{

try
{

}
catch(Exception e)
{
conn.rollback();
}
} // end of while

}
catch(Exception e1)
{

}
