no u cant use a string in the panel's constructor.u can use a layout
eg.
JPanel=new JPanel(Layout Manager);
or simply
JPanel=new JPanel();

i've made an applet using JBuilder it runs fine in appletviewer but doesnt work in IE.i havealso triedusing HTMLConverter but it still doesnt seem to solve my problem.it just says loading java applet in IE and then nothing.
pls help
