I think so if you properly design that class. I guess you still need class lock for you function in which you will create your default icon.

Did you set other language rather than english as prefer language in your browser when you try to access your jsp by browser?

The reason that all png file created under bin directory is caused by your code:
private String temppath = new File(".").getAbsolutePath();private String path = temppath.substring(0,temppath.length()-2);private String chartPath = path + "\\chart.png";

You can use the member 'pageContext' in TagSupport, then get ServletContext , call 'getRealPath' and change the root directory of your png under your web application's directory.

You should provide a seperately property file for other locale such as chinese locale:

en resource file: Resource.properties
chinese resource file: Recource_zh_CN.properties

In chinese resource file, you should include all key same as in english file and its' chinese value.

Then, in you program, you need give property file's base name and user's prefer locale to initial ResourceBundle:

ResourceBundle bundle = ResourceBundle.getBundle(Resource, client_locale)

if you want inherit from HttpServlet, you do not need to override the public "service" function as HttpServlet have implement it and will forward it to protected "service" function.

If you inherit your Servlet from GenericServlet, then you need override the "service" function, but no protected "service" function now.

You don't need cache your page,
You only need save your object into sesion or appliation scope, then use these objects when user access your page again.

The reason is that JSP expressions, scriptlets, and declarations only let you insert simple Java code, So Scriptlets won't support tag inline.

I don't think you need do any process relative byte order especially for many binary files.

If you want to deal text file, it's better to put byte order information into that text file.
I think " blocking" and "non-blocking" or "synchronized" and "asynchronized" only affect your local end, which should not be affected by other end in communication on TCP/IP network.
make sure your properties file be putted into correct which decided by how to load properties file blah.properties in your 'bean' tag.

Can user access your security page without login in your program when they use it at first if they know that url?

After logout, the security page user can see is cache one or newest one?
you can try to refresh that page to double check.
