Thanks Marilyn, I am still confused about the 'doGet' you mentioned. I know from an applet, I can use 'showDocument()' on an URL object to show a webpage, is there any similar way for an application or is this forbidden due to security reason? Could you give a little more detail? Thanks!

Thanks Paul,

I am still confused. The jar file I mentioned is an java application. I have the image file, but I don't know how to make it a logo for my application. Should I put it into the manifest file somewhere or what? Thanks!

Hello,

Can I do this type of calculation in Java like 3/8*5/9=5/24? Or I must define the operation myself using like "BigInteger"? Thanks!

Hi guys,

I have two questions:

1. How can I specify a default directory when using FileChooser?
2. How can I put a text file into a .jar executable and read that file when I run the program?

Thanks!

Hi guys,
After running my application, there are a lot of these type of files generated in the same directory of the application: myclass$1.class, myclass$2.class, etc. Anyone had the same experience before? pls tell me what they are and how to deal with it? Thanks!
