Hi all,
Today I passed SCBCD with 90%. Thanks to Kathy & Bert for their special book and thanks a lot to all the members of this forum. Though I wasnt an active participant, I was a silent observer.
When I went to the exam center in the morning, I was told that the Sun server in the test center was down(for about a week and will be so until aug 5) abt which I was informed at the center right before 30 min of my scheduled time(10 AM). I had to call the prometric about it and had a talk with the customer service rep. for about 30 min and managed to get an appointment in another test center closeby. Since I am in chicago, I was lucky to have another center nearby in the downtown area, where there was an empty slot at 12PM which I accepted. Atlast, took up the exam at 12 PM in the other center.
Though this is not a common thing, I sincerely feel that they should let us know abt these things before-hand, atleast when they know that things are so for about quite sometime. Anyways, I am happy about the result.

Hi,
I had a similar kind of situation of not updating my current address with prometric, which I found after days of my taking the exam. I contacted Prometric on this and talked to them about it. In the meantime, I recd. an email from them, saying that the certification materials returned to them and if there had been any address change, asking me, to let them inform about it. So, I mailed them back with my new address and got the materials in about a week's time after letting them know.
The email address to which I was doing all the mail correspondences at Prometric was [email protected] Try mailing them. You will get an automated reply atonce and a custom reply in a day or two.
Good Luck,
Makesh
It looks like, the name(TEST) that you use to look up from the client doesnt match with the JNDI lookup name you have specified for the bean when you deployed the bean.

Hi all,
I am much new to EJB. I was trying to deploy and test a bean as specified in chapter 1 of HFEJB. I had the application deployed just as specified in the book but when i tried to run the client, I ended up getting a "java.rmi.remoteException" Did anyone ever get it when trying? Am i missing something obvious? I redid the thing but in vain.
Since I am very new to the whole concept of EJB, I dont, at this point, understand much about this exception too. Any help on this would greatly be appreciated.
Here's what I get:

Congratulations Wasim, Gabriel & Mr.Madhusudhanan Varadarajan!! I cleared the exam also with 82% today.
Hi all,
I got thru SCWCD 1.4 with 82% today. Thanks to all the ranchers. I was preparing with HF servlets & JSP. I didnt learn the spec. that good. Learning that would definitely help to get a high score, I guess. I had some ques. in the exams from the spec that werent discussed in HF. Thanks again to the community.
