Hi all,
Thanks.
I did get two qs on collections and as expected only theoritical not code based. They were about basic structures and their implementations.

Hi friends,
I just passed SCJP today with 81% not a great score but..
for me,I would not say that .very less time for preparation..no oop exp..etc.I did study a lot and was expecting something around 90%.More than 70% qs were code based.
Help of javaranch can not be described in words. I mean it.JQplus also helped me a lot.Referring to api documentation frequently ,give clear understanding of the classes and its implementations.
Concepts like Threads ,oo principles 'pass by value' and 'pass by reference' should be very very clear as I have found most of codes based on them.
Thanks everybody for your help.
best wishes for preparations and exam

class MyClass

public static void main(String []args)
{
final int i = 100;//line 5
byte b = i;
System.out.println(b);
}
}
if I change line five as int i=100,It gives compiler error saying 'Can't explicitly convert int in to byte Why?

Hi,
Thanks all of you for clearing the doubts.
Tejal
interface test1{
void theMethod();
}
class p implements test1{
void theMethod(){
System.out.println("This is testing");}
}
Why does the above code gives folowing compiler error??
"The method void theMethod() declared in class p cannot override the method of the same signature declared in interface test1. The access modifier is made more restrictive.
void theMethod(){"
both has package access.does it mean that interface method implemented in the class has to be public?
Thanks,
Tejal
