I am learning triggers in postgres, currently I have something similar to
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION myFunction() RETURNS TRIGGER AS $trig$ (// DO A DELETE ON myTableA HERE ) $trig$ language plpgsql; CREATE TRIGGER myTrigger BEFORE DELETE ON myTableB FOR EACH ROW EXECUTE PROCEDURE myFunction();

I want to get rid of procduure and procedure call (for efficiency) Is there any way to write a trigger in postgreSOL similar to

CREATE TRIGGER myTrigger BEFORE DELETE ON myTableB FOR EACH ROW (// DO A DELETE ON myTableA HERE )

Is there anyway in postgres to start a specific (stored) proecedure at a specific time. For example, at 1:00 AM I want database to delete all the rows that have there expiryDate column less than current date.

I am new to Postgres. Any help, clue or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I am trying to get familiar with weblogic and has gone through MedRec sample application. I guess this is not a good starting point for a newbie.
Any ideas? Do you recommend using any plugin with eclipse (like myeclipse or something like that)
