I'm using the telnet task of ANT to deploy an application on WAS5.1 on Unix using a JACL script.
The debug statements in the script will appear when I run it directly from the shell or within wsadmin.
When I use the telnet task though, since I give a <read> only for the shell prompt, the debug statements inside the JACL script don't get written to the ANT log file. Is there some way to get this out to the ANT log file or some other file on my build PC?

Thanks.

Hi,

I have a controller ANT script which calls multiple child scripts which deploy various parts of an application.

If one of the child scripts encounters a build error, I want control to return to my controller script, which would then trigger a rollback of the already deployed components.

Is there some way to call this trigger IF one of the child scripts fails?

Thanks,

Hi,

My javac task takes an "srcdir" attribute with a space.
Eg:
C:/deploy/web/Java Source

When running the task, I'm getting the following error:
[javac] javac: invalid argument: C:\deploy\web\Java
[javac] Usage: javac <options> <source files>
.
.
.

It's obviously truncating the "Source" half of "Java Source"
Any idea on how to encapsulate the entire path as one parameter?

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm trying to execute the following command from within wsadmin command mode and am getting the following error:

*************
wsadmin>$AdminControl startServer server1
WASX7015E: Exception running command: "$AdminControl startServer server1"; excep
tion information:
com.ibm.ws.scripting.ScriptingException: WASX7254E: "startServer" action not supported when process type is "UnManagedProcess"
************

I know that when I get into wsadmin process, I get a message saying 'SOAP connection established to UnManaged Process'.
Most of the other AdminControl functions aren't working either.
The AdminApp and AdminConfig functions are working though.

Questions:

1) Is there a way I can perform a workaround for this? Essentially I need to check if the server1 is running or not in a JACL script.
2) Do I require to be on the deployment manager node to get this working?

Thanks,
Srinivas
