Hi Arjun,

Thanks for the wishes and also for letting me know that there is one more forum called "Meaningless drivel". I was unaware of it (i am new to the forum) and surprised to know greetings are categorized as meaningless!!!

I appreciate your concern for proper use of forum, but your words "Hope somebody will kick out this thread in Meaningless drivel" are not in good taste (that too kick out)since the thread was nothing but greeting conveying wishes.

More appropriate words should have been used to express your concern, like the one used by some of the forum moderators while moving the thread from forum to forum.

Hi Jagadish,
Thanks again for the inputs. I do have fare knowledge on java. But as I told..I was not sure what ever I know is sufficient at least to start applying for job? Each day I find developers coming with new problems and solutions. So i felt i am not that good! I stay in Bangalore.

Hi Jagadish,

Thanks for the frank answer..!
I am not sure as a JSP developer what all I should be knowing. !! But with your response..I felt i know JAVA to some extent. So that is one comfort thing!!

But...I have some anxities and doubts. Could you please clarify them. Before that let me brief more on my Java ability...

I have worked on applications with both MVC1 and MVC2 architecture, with features exclusively -emails with attachments, uploaidng utilities, JDBC and oralce/ sql.

I learnt what is necessary to know while working on these projects.
But java is such vast subject..
- with 2 years of experince and exposure and working knowledge with above Java features, what kind of interview questions I might get.
- how I should present my profile in CV.!
- In utilities what all i should be knowing.

Kindly let me know.
Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have 2 years of experince in JSP and know basics of Java. (But I am not a core java person.) At present I am looking for new job.
Since I am not a core java person,I am nervous to face the inteviwes fearing I will be asked Java questions.

I would like to know what are the chances of me getting job as JSP developer compared to as a JAVA developer.

Kindly let me know if projecting my self as person with JSP experince will be disdvantage?. What chances I have to get interview calls/ or getting selected from companies who are into java technology.
