When use https calls between the j2me client and a web server. The server is Iplanet. If we install Verisign certificate in web server, would we be able to invoke https calls from j2me client? Does the handset need any configuration for using https connection? And would j2me client from the handset support any kind of certificate installed in the web server or it has to be between a specific set of certificate vendors?

Thanks a lot!

HI, Can anybody help?
Thanks a lot.

Can anyone suggest if there is any additional battery drain at all when suspending a J2ME application as opposed to exiting (which exits the app and shuts down the JVM)?
Thanks!

Help, or any suggestions.

I'm quite new to dealing with AT commands.
Whenever I try to dial out using ATD<some number> I get the response "NO CARRIER".
Is there anything I need to do for setup before executing the command?
Something obvious I'm missing?

Any information is so appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have two questions:
1.When an application is activated, where do the midlet classes stored? Are they stored in the heap memory or in a separated program memory?

2.If the application is stored in the heap memory, how do I know how much of the heap memory is used for the byte code of the application?

Any suggestion is so appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I am a new one about j2me development, I am now studying the
gps location api, does anyone have some sample midlet or
anything helpful information of this topic?
I noticed that motorola has some kinds of phones that
support gps location.

Any information is so appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

The return should be bytes, you can find it from the midp api.
