I have passed the following examination already:
(1) Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform 1.4
(2) Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform
(3) Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition 1.4

I am planning to take another certification now and I am considering the SCBCD.
The SCBCD examination is still at version 1.3 now.
Should I wait until the SCBCD 1.4 comes out?
I am wondering if SCBCD 1.4 will comes out within 2005.

Any ideas or suggestions?
I passed the SCWCD 1.4 with 84%.

I prepared for the examination with the following aids:
(1) The book Head First Servlets & JSP by Bryan Basham, Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates.
(2) The mock examination at http://www.j2eecertificate.com.
(3) The mock examination at http://www.jdiscuss.com.

I have the following suggestions for anyone who wants to take the SCWCD 1.4 examination:
(1) If you are going the read the book Head First Servlets & JSP, you should check the errata at http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/headservletsjsp/errata. This errata is updated about once a week. Read the book at least twice side by side with the errata. Take the mock exams in the book a few times until you get a high score on every chatper.
(2) Take the mock examination at http://www.j2eecertificate.com. Repeat the examination until you get a high score. I think this mock examination is for the SCWCD 1.3 examination, but the materials covered still applied for SCWCD 1.4, although some topics are missing.
(3) Take the mock examination at http://www.jdiscuss.com. Repeat the examination until you get a high score.

I have the following observations:
(1) For every mock examination question that you have answered correctly, you should find out why you answered it incorrectly. Do some practices on Tomcat 5 to verify the concepts illustrated in the question.
(2) You should use Tomcat 5 to test every features that are illustrated in the mock examination questions. Make sure you can use Tomcat 5 to implement the features of Servlet 2.4 and JSP 2.0 that are under the examination objectives.
(3) After taking the mock examinations, you should make some notes on your results. I guess the marks you got in the mock examinations will be very similar to what you would get after caming out from the Prometric examination centre. Usually, the mock examinations will demonstrate your strength and weakness in your knowledge of Servlet 2.4 and JSP 2.0. You should give more emphasis on your weakness and give more efforts on those areas.

I hope my advices would be helpful.

I just passed the SCJD exam with the following score:

General Con: 100 82
Documentation 70 57
OOD: 30 25
GUI: 40 40
Locking: 80 80
Data Store: 40 40
Network Server: 40 17
Total: 400 341

Can someone suggest which examination (SCWCD, SCBCD, SCDJWS, SCEA, SCMAD)should I take next?

I cannot find suitable books for the above named examinations, either because there are not any books for the subject or because the book is for an older version (e.g. 1.3). Can someone suggest any books, websites, or other materials that I can use to study for the above examinations?
