Hi. I have some problem executing servlet examples provided in tomcat using the tomcat connector.

I am using tomcat 5.0.28, IIS 5.1 and just manage to install isapi_redirect.dll.

I manage to execute the servlet examples using http://localhost:8080/servlet-examples, thru tomcat directly.

I manage to view http://localhost/servlet-examples/index.html, but i can't execute the servlet examples. there's one request parameters example. When i click on "Submit Query", the next page show "The page cannot be displayed".

I checked the isapi.log file, it shows:
[/servlets-examples/servlet/RequestParamExample] is a servlet url - should redirect to ajp13
Maintaining worker ajp13
jk_worker.c (111): found a worker ajp13
jk_isapi_plugin.c (1018): got a worker for name ajp13
jk_ajp_common.c (2131): acquired connection cache slot=0

jk_isapi_plugin.c (1031): service() returned OK
jk_ajp_common.c (2074): recycling connection cache slot=0 for worker ajp13

and the stdout.log shows:

May I know how to correct this problem? Is there any configuration that i need to set?
Or has anyone successfully execute servlet examples using tomcat connector?
Appreciate any help. Thank you.

Hi. I am trying to integrate tomcat5.0 with IIS5.0. i have installed tomcat-5.0.28 and manage to view the tomcat homepage. but i couldn't find workers and uriworkermap.properties file under tomcat5.0/conf dir.
May i have a sample of both files?

Is there any other detailed documentation on integrating tomcat5.0 with IIS5.0?

thanks.

Hi. I have written jsp files, servlet and deployed on tomcat. From the browser, with http://localhost:8080/myapps, I manage to see the application.
I tried to access myapps with http://xxx.xx.x.x:8080/myapps from other client machine, its ok. Theres another application (myappb) running on the same server machine with Internet Information Services, so http://xxx.xx.x.x/myappb will show myappb.
May I ask is it possible to omit the 8080 in the address to access myapps? May I know how to do it?

thanks.

hi. i am using log4j to log in my servlet. the servlet will read a .properties file that will be used by log4j.

i specify in the .properties file my log file location as
<code>
log4j.appender.R.File=example.log
</code>
and i found the log file in <tomcat>/bin/

if i specify <code>log4j.appender.R.File=.\\logs\\example.log</log>, the log file will appear in <tomcat>/bin/logs

i wish to specify in my <tomcat>/webapps/myapp/log dir. may i know how should i do that?

Appreciate any help.

Hi. i am not sure if this is the right place to post my question.

I have some doubts about deploying servlet and jsp. I use tomcat to test out the servlet and jsp during development. Now, I want to place the servlet and jsp on a production server to be accessed by the public. The server machine has win 2000 server installed with Internet Information Services. Is it sufficient to just install tomcat on the server machine to deploy the servlet and jsp? What else do I require?

Appreciate any help
