Hi Layne Lund,
I am using sun implementation MIDP1.0.3
Iam using the converter tool which is in the
midp4palm1.0.
I tested your program it works fine with my environment setup.
I executed from the command line.
java Converter.jar .sun.midp.palm.database.MakeMIDPApp -type Data Welcome.jar
please execute the command in one line. This will convert the jar file to a prc file. Your jad file and manifest seems to be correct.
If you let me know your email id i can send the prc file to you.
Hope this solves the problem.

Hi,
I have a problem in loading a png image file on to the palm emulator.
This is the code i use in the program.
im = Image.createImage("/timer.png");
I am including the timer.png file in the jar file.
No problem when the convert to the .prc file while using the Converter tool. The application runs on the emulator but does not load the image. I can't see the image on the screen.
Any help on this will be appreciated
Thanks

It is always good to register the drivers with the driver manager. This is a factory pattern. Good programming practice to always access the implementation( that is the driver) through a factory( that is the driver manager) . This results is low coupling
try mapping your application in web.xml.

hi ,
you can put all the class files under the class dir and that should be put in web-inf. Tomcat looks at the class files which are under web-inf\classes.

Hi malathi,
Both the piece of code gives compilation error.
The compiler cannot provide a default constructor because a constructor is already available.

The split up is as follows
System.out.println(1 + 2)
i=3
System.out.println(((3) + (4)))
i=5
System.out.println((5) + (6))
i=7
}
}
The output is 3, 7, 11.
Thanx
