Hi Sanjay/Chaitanya,

No - I had no previous experience with JSP/Servlets. So the exam was really useful for me.

Hi Colin,

I'm considering SCBCD next. Thanks for asking. What are your plans now that you have taken SCWCD?
Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find the errata for the Head First Ejb book?

TIA
Here's my suggestion:

When you move drag the item over another, a small icon appears to the right of the box being dragged. A circle with a line through it means it cannot be dropped right now. When the box is positioned such that it is ready to be dropped, the icon changes to a rectangle.

Hope that helps.
I passed the test today with 79%. I had studied for less than a month, so I was really glad to pass. I mostly used "More Servlets & JSP". I read HFS for a week for the newer features (EL, Custom tags), and found them pretty hard to memorize. On the whole I found this a much tougher exam than SCJP, though that doesn't seem to be a common opinion.

Thanks JavaRanch and the authors of HFS!
One question was probably a "test" question. You won't know which one it is, but you won't be graded on it. The test-writers insert such questions to conduct research on future changes. Only the remaining 69 count as far as the test-taker is concerned.
Hi,

So, can we say this:

idempotent: GET, HEAD
non-idempotent: PUT, POST, DELETE, OPTIONS, TRACE, CONNECT

TIA
Hello,

I was wondering if session.invalidate() is the only way to "destroy" a session.

Also, how can we figure out when the session was destroyed?

TIA
Hi,

Does anyone know whether SCWCD requires you to memorize specific header access methods (like getAuthType(), getRemoteUser()) beside the generic getHeader() method?

TIA
Thanks Ritu.

What are your plans now? SCJD?
Hi Ritu,

Congrats on your score!

When you said you had questions on ejb tags, did you mean the j2ee/ejb elements in the deployment descriptor?

TIA
Thanks Nathaniel.

I was only wondering because WAR files is on the objectives, and MANIFEST.MF is used in conjunction with it.
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the manifest file is covered by the test objectives, specifically the objectives regarding WAR files?

TIA,
Karen
