Hi experts

I am trying to set up RDBMSAuthenticator on my weblogic server 8.1 [not portal].
When I configured RDBMSAuthenticator on my console, then added the jar: ../p13n/lib/p13n_system.jar to my classpath.

When I restarted weblogic, the following errors were generated. Could you advise me what the "requires a valid Personalization license" means?
Do I need to have a separate license to use RDBMSAuthenticator?

Thanks,
yasushi

Hi experts,

I have multiple download links [commandLink] /buttons[commandButton] on the same page. I realized that a user needs to click twice to see an open directory window from the second attempt, I do not understand why this is happening.

The download page was implemented with jsp page. commandLink/commandbutton are simply taking a user to this download page by clicking a link or a button.

At the first click, a use always go to this page and the browser asks a user if one wants to save a directory or open on the browser. Then a user can decide to cancel or save or open. At the second attempts, the problem is that a user clicks link/button subsequently right after the first attempt, the action does not take a user to the jsp page, and it only reloads page with a round trip.
Then a user needs to click a link/ a button second time, then it works.

Could someone advise me why this is happening and is there anyway to stop this ?

I implemented a commandbutton + actionListener [in backing bean] solution for file download, but the result was the same. From the second attempt, a user always needs to click twice [double click] button.
I saw the one post on google is that adding _blank on form tag helps, but it actually did not help at all.

Any idea ?

yasushi

I am using jsf1.1.01 + struts 1.1 and try to get data from h:inputText field. It should be simple, but I am having difficuty to do so. Please help me experts.

I have defined a simple tile controler attached to the tile creates an instancce of a bean and put it into a sessionBean. And one jsp page that has an inputText field:

<h:inputText id="targetId" value="#{queryBean.targetId}" valueChangeListener="#{queryBean.idSelected}"/>

is imported to one of tiles. When a use clicks a commandButton, I would like to simply capture a value entered in inputText field.

It looks to me that I need to kick off setXX method for beans somehow if I have a controler, but I am not sure about it. So, I added a valueChangeListener to inputText component, but it did not work. It does not work with/without valueChangeListener.

my questions are:
1. if the tile controler servlet has been added, should setXX methods be hand-coded to the controler ? if so, why does only getXXX methods work fine to display

2. if I have to get inputText value from tile controler, how can I get it ?

3. Or should I change to managed bean from tile controler ?

Thank you

Hi experts.

I am writing a stand-alone desktop application on Linux. On Linux, a user can change font style/font size etc from the gui easily. So, I would like to know about the font setting that a user choose to display. I am using UIManager to get a look and feel. By knowing the font size defined by a user, I would like to scale GUI components like size of text field, drop down menu etc.

Is there any way to find out the user setting (font size) on their environment ?
I checked system property and tookkit, but I could not find anything useful.

Thanks,

I wouldl like to add JComboBox to JTable header so that a user can choose a different header name for each column in JTable. I tried to create a class extends JComboBox and implements TableCellRenderer, but it only showed the first entry, then does not show all other items ( I mean it does not extend a cell window to display others by clicking).

Could someone give me a direction ? It looks like the header in JTable cannot be treated like a regular cell. I would like to know how to get around this problem.

Thanks,
