Does the book include any mock exam on cd?
I am more of a visual person. Clicking thru javadoc is kind of tedious for me.

I would like to hook tomcat with apache using the mod_webapp connector. I could not find any documentation on that. Could someone point me to the right direction? Thanks in advance.

I installed Jdk and tomcat under /usr/java/jdk1.3.1_02 and /usr/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat-4.0 directories and set up JAVA_HOME and CATALINA_HOME env vars in the profile file under /etc. I am running Mandrake8.1 distr. After I ran the startup.sh command, here is what I got on the screen:
Using CLASSPATH: /usr/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat-4.0/bin/bootstrap.jar:/usr/java/jdk1.3.1_02/lib/tools.jar
Using CATALINA_BASE: /usr/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat-4.0
Using CATALINA_HOME: /usr/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat-4.0
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /usr/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat-4.0/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/java/jdk1.3.1_02
and I can not bring up the "localhost:8080". I do have apache installed on this machine. I also looked at tomcat's log file (catalina.out). Here is what's in it:
Bootstrap: Class loader creation threw exception
java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file
at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method)
at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(ZipFile.java:110)

at org.apache.catalina.startup.ClassLoaderFactory.validateJarFile(Unknown Source)
at org.apache.catalina.startup.ClassLoaderFactory.createClassLoader(Unknown Source)
at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Unknown Source)

I'd really appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.

I'm using WL 5.1 and having a hard time to setting URL Access control after I installed RDBMSRealm. I was able to get the id/password dialog to pop up. But somehow it does not recognize id and password stored in the RDBMS. Any suggestions?
TIA,
