When you were writing this book, did you get chance to evaluate other frameworks and can you please justify the use of Tapestry framework, when you compare with current technologies like JSF and Struts 2, wicket etc.

There are already so many frameworks available in market and it is very difficult to choose within those.

And how is it advantage to chose Ruby on Rails, when I have to learn language with new framework.

How do you compare Struts 2 with latest JSF. JSF have became so popular in recent times and it is backed by so many companies like Sun, IBM, Apache, Oracle, JBoss just to name some.

How do you see Struts future when comparing with JSF.

I read high level about the Laszlo, can somebody please provide a link where I can write a simple complete application.

web page --> web service call ---> invoke back end java code ---> call data base access layer --> connect to database

I will be able to do last 2 steps. I need help with 1st, 2nd and initial 3rd step.

For the basic understanding of the JSF and AJAX combination, do you have any extracts from your book, which would give high level of how the JSF and AJAX combination (Like Hello World program).

Hi,
We are presently using Websphere 5.1.2 for JSF implementation.

Is there a component or any feature, which can help to sort the contents of table.
(Example, most of web pages, having the data table have the link for each column and clicking on link can sort based on the particular column selected.)

Please let me know, how to implement this with or without using IBM JSF tab library.

I would like to implement, but i do not know the way, since if i use the java script, how to call the JSF component.

I have a data table and there are check boxes of each row and I would like to implement the Select All and Clear All links at the bottom of Data Table.

And as expected it should select all or clear all, all the checkboxes in data table.

Please let me, how to do this.
