i hope that the first case is adequately clear to u. in the second case, what is happening is that u r compairing the val of i is 1 which is being compared with a constant. the u r s.o.p.ing something which is perfectly alright. so it is compiling.

the day before, i cleared the exam. i had refered RHE as my primary book. i will suggest that u also do the same. for tuning your weak points, do refer khalid. it is the ultimate reference. but i covers a lot more that what could be sufficient.
also at the end, u could go thru exam cram.
i hope that should do it.

now coming on to the questions, i studied from RHE, the de-facto standard for the purpose.
then i refered khalid when in doubt.
also i would like to thank mr raja ram chaudhary who taught me the language and also prepared me for the exam.
