my question is, if i develop my application with such a framework how well it eases/integrates with the other technology applications. the main reason for looking into a different framework like this is i want to integrate my application with any kind of existing system like sieble application etc.,
what i mean of overhead is in this point of view only.

JSP
There is a framework which uses xml and java and able to display whatever the components the user wants in the front end page with out using any javascripts and html code. It all event based and at the back all gui components are custom tags in java.
In such a scenario why should one go for jsp? With the above given approach i need not restart the server and i need not compile anything for the changes made in xml files to get the required look in front page.
coming to database i can go for xsql, which again wont allow me restart the server for the changes made to database.
I finded this will be a better approach for integrating my application with any kind of legacy systems.
could you pls tell what kind of overheads i may get with this kind of framwork?

Hi
i am running weblogic server and weblogic portal server where my apache 3.0 is configured into the weblogic server. I am keep on getting popups
Application popup: Apache.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x10004900" referenced memory at "0xffffffff". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

what is the solution to avoid this , usally this is coming when i am opening a browser or something like that.

thank you

I am using a weblogic portal server 4.0. Here i am using an utility called com.bea.p13n.util.debug.debug. This utility is mainly used to output the debug messages in the server console. for this i made the dubug utility on. and i wronte debug.properties file and placed portal install directory. the problem is when i am printing some messages using debut.out("some message"), its not coming on the console.
i will thankfull if anyone can resolve this issue.
thanks

Axis is an implementation of SOAP developed by Apache. Its a lightweight protocol for exchange of information in a decentralized, distributed environment. U can say axis is a soap engine.

if the alternative is corba why people going for webservice, whats wrong with corba? even j2ee people also prefering webservices now a days. With corba the interoperability is possible like communication with dot net and j2ee? Does corba provides any idl interfaces for dotnet?

request/response of a webservice will happen one way only. once u register a webservice, ur component wont sits in the registry server. The registry server gives only description of the webservice i.e thru wsdl and the actual component sits in the service creator server. U can modify or replace the service without changing the signatures of the business logic. i hope this answers ur question.

A webservice should be viewed as a business logic where it can be used by anyone in distributed environment. SOAP, WSDL and RPC mechnisms are making this possible.

Thanks for responding.
While i am trying to run the examples it is abstracting all the wsdl and soap things, i couldn't able to see the role of wsdl and soap practically, even though i know its role theoritically.
I am looking for where exactly the soap coming into the picture and wsdl in the creation and usage of a webservice.

In weblogic6.1 the rpc webservice is automatically takes care of wsdl and soap issues. Could anyone tell me how its doing it. Is it using any tool like apache axis?

Hi
thanks for giving reply. While working webservices with weblogic6.1 manually, either we have to go for ant tool or do manually. While trying to do manually we suppose to use certain weblogic utilities where the wsdl and soap things will be created automatically.
I am looking for cetain kind of thing where i can adopt the sequential steps to deploy a webservice and run a client to use that service.

Hi
I want clear steps of deploying a webservice(stateless session bean) of type RPC in weblogic 6.1 app server. The manual steps include creation of WSDL file and SOAP issues.
Is there any resource availble giving such type of sequence of steps to create and run a webservice?
Thanks

i have a lot of jar files, what i am doing is ,
java -classpath <giving all my jar file names>

the question is , this class path is setting at application level or system level? and how the class loader is taking these things?

is it a feasible idea , to write our own classloader where only my set of jar files will be loaded for that particular application?, so that the performance of os will be improved,

the user level and system level environment variables can be observed in windows operating systems.

Pls clarify me in this regard

Thank you
