I am trying to create a JSF 2 portlet on RAD 8 and WPS 7. I go through the creation of portlet project with JSF 2 and it successfully creates the project but the portlet.xml is missing. I can deploy this project but can't run it and see my simple hello world page in the browser. If I do the same with JSF 1.2, it creates the project with portlet.xml and deploys and runs properly as well.

If you have anything similar please help me with your experience or point me towards any tutorials etc. that can help me with this.

I have an orderingList with drop support. I drop an item in it from a table with drag support. It works fine when I already have some items in the orderingList but fails when empty. This feature used to work with RichFaces 3.2.0 version but after upgrading to 3.2.2.GA it starts throwing exception. The exception stack trace is below:

We're experiencing a performance issue with Ajax4JSF with respect to its Tidy plugin. We've dome some profiling and we've found the class/method: org.ajax4jsf.webapp.FilterServletResponseWrapper.parseContent is the biggest performance hog in the use case, consuming 90% of the process. I've tried to disable the tidy parser using components.xml by doing the following:

<web:ajax4jsf-filter force-parser="false" />

However, when we re-run the same tests, the profiling results are exactly the same each time. perhaps my understanding of this attribute is incorrect, but my hope was that it would not parse the entire page? If this is in correct, if we want to use the Neko parser, do we have to define it in web.xml?

In addition to trying to suppress this filter, we also tried NEKO plugin for filter but it broke most of the RichFaces component. We added the filters in web.xml as following:

Idea was to parse xyz.xhtml under abc folder to be parsed using NEKO and rest of the xhtmls using TIDY. Any idea what we might be doing wrong? Thanks.

Thanks everyone for useful tips. I am still not convinced if my code is vulnerable to SQL injection. The user input is not directly used in SQL statement instead, it is used to get the value out of map and that value is used in SQL statement. I am convinced that it is a false alarm by Fortify tool and I should ignore it.
I ran the Fortify tool on my code base and it pointed the SQL Injection vulnerability in the following code:

Can someone please suggest how to remove this vulnerability?
I am using following BEA WebLogic version on my machine (3.0 GHz, 1GB RAM):

Console Release Build8.1.2.0Server Release Build8.1.2.0Server BuildWebLogic Server 8.1 SP2 Fri Dec 5 15:01:51 PST 2003 316284 All Server Product VersionsWebLogic Server 8.1 SP2 Fri Dec 5 15:01:51 PST 2003 316284
WebLogic XMLX Module 8.1 SP2 Fri Dec 5 15:01:51 PST 2003 316284

When I deploy my application, the CPU usage goes to 100% and all other applications come to grinding halt. Any advise?

Hi Sinora,

I have come across similar problem earlier and after I manually deployed the jar file through weblogic console, it worked fine. May be you should try that.

Thanks

Yes Wai, you are right. Every object type inherits wait() method of Object class but wait() method does not belong to Thread class.
I contacted O'Rielly for the same and they replied January 2006.
Is it true that static methods can call only static methods? If yes, then how do we call non-static methods from main() method?
25% discount??? I did not know if Sun even had such discounts. It is not even listed on their website. Any links regarding this info???

I guess your approach is right but someone should give a more specific explanation. Anyone???
