Thread by thread "read" tracking - this one you have to turn on. Go to "my profile" and site personalization. Then check "Keep track of threads read on a thread by thread basis." Be sure to enter the captcha before saving. Once you do this the light bulb will show for threads you haven't read regardless of whether you went to a new computer or started a new session.
