JavaRanch Cattle Drive - Orion server/mySQL database installation procedure for EJBs

Download the JDK 1.3 from Sun

Go to www.javaranch.com/drive/servlet/ for instructions on installing orion. You do not need to do the assignments, but be sure to do all the tests.

At the bottom of that page is a link to www.javaranch.com/drive/jdbc/ for instructions on installing mySQL. You should do everything on the page down to Assignment JDBC-2. You can, however, skip  the short Assignment JDBC-1.

After you have completed the above, go to www.javaranch.com/drive/ejb/index.jsp to test the EJB stuff. Be sure that you do all six (6) of the tests.
